Community Guidelines
Last updated June 27, 2026
stepin.dance exists to help adults meet through music, dancing, and respectful in-person energy. The standard is simple: consent first, pressure never.
Expected behavior
- Ask before dancing, and respect a no, a maybe, silence, hesitation, or a change of mind.
- Keep first invites low-pressure: one song, a public floor, a clear exit.
- Respect groups — don’t isolate someone from their friends.
- Be honest in your profile and your messages.
- Keep venue staff, security, and other guests out of conflict.
Not allowed
- Harassment, threats, stalking, intimidation, hate, slurs, or coercion.
- Sexual pressure, unwanted touching, or repeated invites after a no.
- Romance scams, payment / investment / crypto / gift-card requests.
- Fake profiles, impersonation, stolen photos, or misleading event info.
- Underage users or attempts to meet minors.
- Encouraging unsafe intoxication, illegal activity, violence, or exploitation.
RSVP integrity
An RSVP or “Going” is a plan to attend a public social — it is not consent to physical contact, dating, or leaving the venue with someone. Treat it that way.
Enforcement
We may warn, limit, suspend, remove, or report accounts based on behavior, content, or abuse signals.
Scam safety
